A program on the Illinois Open Meetings Act will take place from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm on Saturday, March 16, at the Peoria Public Library North Branch, 3001 W. Grand Parkway, Peoria, IL (off Allen Road behind Menards).
The event features a panel with Illinois ACLU attorney Rebecca Glenberg and local residents to discuss features of the Open Meetings Act including notices, closed meetings, comments, violations, and other issues. Event sponsors include the Peoria Area ACLU Chapter, the Greater Peoria League of Women Voters, and the Illinois and Peoria chapters of the National Organization for Women. The event is free and open to the public.
